This building was originally built as a church in 1850. By 1889 it had become the Ivy Lodge of the Knights of Pythias. In 1942, it was remodeled and became the Boys & Girls Club. Finally in 1999 it served as the home of the Rush County Players. In January 2019, it will open with seven two bedroom apartments for families.
2018 Campaign Quarters
131 W. Second Street, Rushville, IN 46173
This building was originally built in 1841 and was owned by William B. Laughlin. In 1856 it became the Carr house, In 1878 it was the Capp House and in 1899 the Windsor Hotel. The building became the Lollis Hotel in 1926. This same year the building was leased by Mary and Leo Durbin, but they didn't change the name of the hotel until it was entirely paid off. In 1940, Wendall Willkie ran for President against Franklin D. Roosevelt. Willkie ran his campaign out of the Durbin Hotel. He was the last candidate of any party to run for President from Indiana. The Durbin Hotel was also know for it's extraordinary restaurant. Hiring local country women to do the cooking rather than well known chefs, this restaurant drew customers from miles away. Their published cookbook is still available today. The hotel and restaurant closed in 1981 and is now expected to open at Campaign Quarters offering 19 apartments for senior citizens in April of 2019.

103 N. Main Street, Rushville, IN 46173
Originally constructed as a building for the Salvation Army, then an Army Navy Store. This property was remodeled in December of 2016 and it opened its doors as Campaign Flats. Currently full, this property has seven apartments for seniors aged at least 55 years or older.
